The Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY) is a not-for-profit organisation based in Victoria, providing specialist knowledge and support to young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds. Job Description

This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service and operational support to our programs and staff.

The Operations Support Officer will provide high-quality customer service and administrative support to CMY staff, volunteers, and visitors across our seven sites, with a primary base at the Carlton office. Key responsibilities include reception duties, maintaining office systems and supplies, assisting with finance-related administration, facilitating onboarding processes, and supporting the coordination of site and vehicle maintenance. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a commitment to CMY’s mission of empowering young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds

  • Hours: 22.8 hours per week (0.6 FTE), Part Time
  • Fixed Term : until 30/06/2026
  • Base Salary (SCHADS Level 2): $66018.16 per annum plus Super and access to Salary Packaging (Salary Packaging is a great way to increase the value of your salary by allowing you to receive a portion of your income in the form of tax free or tax-deductible benefits.)
  • Location: Carlton

You will have

  1. Experience in office administration (finance administration experience desirable).
  2. Enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service in a multicultural environment.
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.
  4. Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic office setting.
  5. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  6. Relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
