The Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY) is a not-for-profit organisation based in Victoria, providing specialist knowledge and support to young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds. Our vision is that young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds are connected, empowered and influential Australians.
The Pasifika Youth Worker will lead and deliver culturally appropriate programs for Pasifika young people and families in Wyndham, Brimbank, and Melton. Working with government, community services, and other partners, the role will support education and employment pathways, improve access to services, and strengthen cultural and community connections through leadership and capability-building activities. The role will also take the lead on priority issues such as Youth Justice, Child Protection, Education, or Employment, as identified by the Le Mana team and community.
- Hours: 22.8 hours per week (0.6 FTE), Part Time
- Fixed Term or Permanent: until 30/04/2026
- Base Salary (SCHADS Level 4): $88,090.08 per annum (pro rata) plus Super and access to Salary Packaging (Salary Packaging is a great way to increase the value of your salary by allowing you to receive a portion of your income in the form of tax free or tax-deductible benefits.)

You will have
- Understanding and Approach: Knowledge of Pasifika young people's needs, using a strengths-based, holistic, and bi-cultural approach.
- Program Delivery: Experience delivering and facilitating programs for Pasifika youth in various settings.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work in partnership with diverse organisations and communities.
- Communication and Leadership: Strong admin and communication skills, with experience working independently, in teams.
